The Ursuline School

The Campaign for The Ursuline School:
Fulfilling the Promise for Generations of Women

Your gift to the campaign
makes a difference!

This campaign was launched in 2008 and as of March 2013, $6.7 million of the $8 million has been raised. Several leadership level pledges received in the last two months have provided great momentum that we expect to continue as we look to successfully complete this important effort in June of this year.

The success to date has been achieved through a number of tactics, illustrating the breadth of potential engagement of our Ursuline community, as described below. Photos of some of the events listed below can be seen at the Campaign News tab.

**In March 2013, two generous benefactors named The Ursuline School as the beneficiary of life insurance policies purchased with the intent of helping to successfully complete the Campaign effort. This brings us $160,000 closer to our goal.

**In March 2013, The Christine MacMenamin Memorial Scholarship was announced in support of the Scholarship and Financial Aid pillar of the Campaign.

**In February 2013, the Campaign received a $125,000 unrestricted pledge to push us over the $6.5 million mark.

**Between November 2012 and January 2013, the Campaign received two leadership level gifts totaling $125,000 restricted to scholarship and financial aid.

**Summer 2012, Ellen Mooney Hancock makes an unrestricted campaign pledge of $1.5 million, the largest pledge to date.

**
Class initiatives have been launched. Currently, the Class of 2018 holds the lead with 65% participation in the campaign.

**At Reunion in June 2012, the Class of '67 initiated a Reunion year campaign gift. The administration, faculty and students are delighted by the Class of '67 decision to build an Organic Teaching and Learning Garden.

**In Winter/Spring 2012, two different events showcased our academic excellence and brought to life the Endowment for Faculty Professional Development component of the campaign. A Celebration of Italy featured students of Italian demonstrating language skills and presenting Italian culture. Beyond Four Walls, A Vision for 21st Century Education celebrated the innovative use of technology in the classroom.

**The First Annual Soccer Jamboree in Winter 2012 was a successful collaboration of student volunteers, skilled parent leaders, and school coaches.

**Shortly after the public launch of the campaign, the 2011-2012 school year began in a fun and profitable way with two successful campaign events: Turf for TUS! and Let's Do This For Our Daughters.

**In Spring 2011, sales of sporty koala stickers for $3 to $5 created excitement among current students and extended the campaign to the grassroots level.

**In September 2010, the Class of 2001 launched the “$10 for 10 months for $10,000” initiative in honor of their 10 year Reunion.

**In 2009, Ursuline alumnae ’80 through ’08 received a unique opportunity to have their dollars matched with a $200,000 challenge grant from the Thomas & Dorothy Leavey Foundation. They gave enthusiastically and exceeded the challenge. Please see our Campaign Honor Roll tab.

**In 2008, lead donors were approached during the silent phase of the campaign and responded very generously. Please see our Campaign Honor Roll tab for the names of these individuals and foundations.

NOW IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CRITICAL INITIATIVE.

Every gift makes a difference. Furthermore, as we seek funding from corporations and additional foundations, it is vital that we demonstrate active commitment from the extended Ursuline community. The goal is 100% participation.

It’s not what you give, it’s that you give. Together, we can ensure that The Ursuline School is strong and prepared for continued success in the 21st century, enabling current and future students to learn, to lead, and to serve.  Why not make your gift or pledge today?
