Australian Trip, Feb 2012

A select group of Ursuline students and administrators returned from their 17-day adventure at St. Ursula's College in Toowoomba, Australia with many stories to share! Our sister school shares many of our traditions, with a slight twist. One example: instead of Field Day, they hold Swim Carnival. However, their ankle-length dress and straw hat has no counterpart to our uniform.

Like us, the importance of Serviam, "I will serve", was evident in every aspect of St. Ursula's school day. Our group was fortunate to be there for the moving Opening School liturgy that focused on the theme of "Bridges". We have built a bridge to Australia which we hope will be well traveled in the years to come. Our Australian sisters will visit us in December. This exchange is an example of global learning at its best. To enjoy more photos, please click here.
