THE CAMPUS

The School is located at the north end of New Rochelle in lower Westchester County affording easy access to many educational and cultural resources of both Westchester and New York City. The 13-acre campus includes two academic buildings, a gymnasium, and the Mooney Hancock Arts Center. The school's library houses more than 14,000 books, 60 periodicals, and electronic resources. The library, which has earned the designation of "Electronic Doorway Library" by the State Department of Education is linked via a multi public access system to public and college libraries in Westchester County. There are five state-of-the-art science laboratories for the study of biology, chemistry, and physics. Technological resources include a computer center, SmartBoards in many classrooms, and networked computers throughout the school as well as a school wide wireless network that students access using their laptops. The arts center houses a 300-seat theater, orchestra and chorus practice rooms, a dance studio and classroom space. A small chapel provides a place for prayer, meditation, and small group liturgies. Athletic facilities include a full-size gymnasium, a playing field, and four tennis courts. Ursuline also shares additional fields, tracks, and swimming pool in the area.
