The Ursuline School
The Ursuline School, founded in 1897 by the Order of St. Ursula, is a Catholic, college preparatory school for some 800 girls in grades 6 through 12. Rooted in the counsels of St. Angela Merici, founder of the Ursuline Sisters, the mission of the Ursuline School is to educate, inspire and empower young women to learn, to lead, to serve.

Full Time Science Teacher

Potential Courses: 6th Grade Physical Science, 8th Grade Earth Science, High School Chemistry and Physics

Qualifications: The candidate should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a physical science or science education. A master’s degree or teaching certification and teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement interactive and lab-based science lessons
  • Create engaging lessons that develop student’s critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Integrate appropriate technology into the curriculum
  • Collaborate with department members on curriculum and instruction
  • Perform additional school-wide duties.
