Ruby Santiago '90
Ruby Santiago '90 was recently diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease and put on dialysis immediately as an emergency situation until she can get a kidney transplant. She has begun the process and hopes to be placed on the transplant list soon.
To help with living expenses and lost wages, and to prepare for post-transplant care and medication costs not covered by insurance, Ruby has created a GoFundMe campaign. Please visit her page to learn more.
Meghan Murnane ’08 invited participation in the walkathon Taking Steps Against Child Abuse. It was on Sunday, April 30 at Rye Playland. Thank you to all who took part.
Proceeds go directly to help April's Child's programs and services, including a home visiting Parent Aide Program, a 24/7 Parent HelpLine, Parenting Groups and Workshops, and a Speakers Bureau.
April's Child is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that seeks to significantly reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect, and to strengthen families in Westchester County, New York.
Vanessa Merenda’05 was diagnosed with a malignant medulloblastoma tumor which is extremely rare in adults. The tumor has been removed and now she undergoes a rigorous year of both chemotherapy and radiation.
Julia Merenda ‘09 started a gofundme campaign in order to pay for medical bills, as most of Vanessa's doctors are out of network. Jenifer Giamanco '99 lost her husband suddenly. She is the mother of two young children and will need all the prayers and support she can get as she navigates this very difficult time.
